This text presents the results of an archaeological investigation of a Neolithic site near Nenagh, County Tipperary. One of the remarkable aspects of the investigation was the excavation of 370 pits.
Rose M. Cleary graduated in archaeology from University College Cork. Involved in long-term research on the prehistoric archaeology of north Munster, she has excavated at numerous sites and published widely. Hilary Kelleher graduated in archaeology from University College Cork and worked in the commercial sector and with Cork City Council. Her work included the Tullahedy excavations and work on Hiberno-Norse settlement in Cork.
