The Planet Earth and the life forms living on it are inseparable from simple inorganic compound water that covers three quarters of this beautiful Blue Planet; it is undoubtedly the most abundant and the most accessible compound in Nature. Ironically, though it is one of the most studied chemical compounds, perhaps it is the least understood socially. Its omnipresence and abundance make us often think of it as a mere space filler.
