Lynn is a graduate of Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Maryland. She also holds numerous canine certifications in therapeutic and rehabilitative massage, the Human-Animal Bond, Hospice & Palliative Care, First Aid, and Fear Free. In 2011, her compassion for pets and people led her to establish the first-ever mobile food bank for pets in Maryland. In just a few years, Thankful Paws grew to be the largest mobile pet food bank in the state by distributing over 93 tons of pet food. Thankful Paws not only served food but delivered compassion with every meal. Lynn and her golden retriever, Hero, visited tent cities, low-income senior housing, and numerous homes throughout Maryland, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., and Virginia. Lynn believes that every human being deserves dignity and respect, and because of this, she was awarded an Accommodation from Maryland's Secretary of State, and she has also been presented with two Governor's Citations. She has been interviewed by CBS TV, NBC TV and Radio, FOX TV, and ABC TV and has been featured in The Beacon, the Baltimore Sun, Country Woman Magazine, The Jeffersonian, The Capital Gazette, and The Baltimore Magazine.
Lynn lives in Texas with her family and serves in the community through their local church. She has been lecturing at Johns Hopkins University for nearly a decade, is a freelance magazine writer, and is working on more Hero the Golden books!
