Rebecca Brenner Graham, PhD, is a historian, educator, and author whose writing has been published in The Washington Post, Time, Slate, the Los Angeles Review of Books, and more. A recipient of the Cokie Roberts Fellowship at the National Archives Foundation and a Rubenstein Center Research Fellowship at the White House Historical Association, she has taught at the Madeira School and American University, where she earned a PhD in history after receiving a BA from Mount Holyoke College. Following nearly a decade in Washington, DC, she is returning to her birthplace, Providence, Rhode Island, to work as a postdoctoral research associate at Brown University.
