If this is our feeling of the majesty and splendor of death, then it is no doubt that it is magnified and increased - to the maximum extent - when it is coupled with the greatness and splendor of kingship. There is nothing more distressing for the soul than to represent the death of a caliph, a great leader, or a great poet, among those who left the greatest impact on this world and engraved pages in its history that time cannot erase. Perhaps the best hour for a contemplator to review the history of a person's life is the hour of his death, for he will see - then - in front of every image of weakness another image of strength, and he will glimpse next to those cheerful and sad images the corresponding bright smiling images of the past.
