The most important question in everything about the Christian faith is this: "Did Jesus really rise again?" Paul says, "If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain" (1 Corinthians 15:14).
So, if Jesus Christ did not rise, my faith and your faith is vain ¿ useless. We are still in our sins, and we have no Redeemer. Until that first Easter morning, Death had been an unchallenged conqueror. Death had carried Jesus down into the prison of darkness and had shut the door on Him. If He had not risen, that would have been the end. If He had not been able to overcome death, He would not be the world's Redeemer today. All our hopes, all the hopes of the world, waited outside that sealed tomb to see if Jesus would come back to life again.
