Afsheen Farhadi was born in Phoenix, Arizona and his work has appeared in Ploughshares, Conjunctions, The Southern Review, Colorado Review, The Rumpus, Witness, and elsewhere. He is a former Tennessee Williams Scholar and is currently the inaugural Hughes Fellow at Southern Methodist University. He is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at the University of Nevada, Reno.
