As you read my story, I trust you will see the faithfulness of God. And that you too will want to know him and live for him. My story has lots of ups and downs, but you will see how God carried me through it all.

My husband, Dan, and I always found ways to serve the Lord wherever we were. But it wasn't until we were in our 50s that God sent us into jails and prisons?the mission field at our front door.

I took a writing course at age 50 and began to write devotionals for Haven of Rest. My first book, a devotional for caregivers, came out in 2014. It contains all the lessons God taught me while I cared for a husband with Alzheimer's for six-and-a-half years. More books have followed, and I'm still writing at age 88.
