A chance meeting sets events in motion which he could not possibly have foreseen. Some friendly banter and a surprisingly enjoyable evening later, he forgets all about her; she, however, most certainly doesn't forget about him.  When they meet again years later at a different gathering, they have the chance to get to know each other better and the unlikely couple become inextricably intertwined in each other's joys and woes.
