Now is not the time for the god sleeping beneath Arcadia forest to wake. Unfortunately, not everyone cares.

The first time a fanatical cult leader tried to sacrifice one of Arcadia County's satyrs in order to awaken the god Pan, he was stopped just in time. Now, because the cult's leader is dead, no one will believe someone is returning to try again.

November Panagiotis, priest-in-training at the Temple of Pan, wasn't involved when the cult first moved in, but they almost lost their youngest brother to a ritual sacrifice. Now they have reason to think the cult is coming back to Arcadia, only no one else seems to be worried, leaving Nova to investigate on their own.

A chance meeting and a stupid mistake introduce Nova to Jason McKay, folklore professor and unlikely hero. Jason is the only one who takes their concerns seriously, but he has secrets of his own. Is he really who he seems, or is he only using Nova to achieve his own ends?
