David K. Wiggins is professor emeritus of sport studies at George Mason University. He is the editor or author of some twenty books, including Ball in My Hands: Essays on Black Athletes, Race, and American Culture (2025).

Brenda P. Wiggins is an associate professor and academic coordinator of recreation management at George Mason University. Her publications center on inclusion and relationships between humans and nature.
