Mike Prior grew up the oldest of six kids in a family atmosphere of love and support. After high school, Mike attended the University of Maine, graduating with a Business Management degree in the early 1970's. He started his business career in the textile industry and after twenty-four years of operations management, followed by an additional twenty-five years of successful business consulting, he decided to retire. Being one to keep busy, Mike wanted to contribute to his community and with his affinity for transferring knowledge, contributing to worthwhile causes and his love of being around kids, he decided to become a school bus driver, which is what he still does today. This book aims to offer some historical background, heartfelt stories and practical advice for new bus drivers, parents, and anyone interested in understanding the unique challenges and rewards of transporting children safely to and from school each day.
