Elaine Hunter is a consultant clinical psychologist who runs a private virtual clinic called The Depersonalisation Clinic. She started researching depersonalisation/derealisation disorder in 1999 and has published many of the key papers from a psychological perspective on the condition, including the cognitive behavioural model and treatment protocol for DPAFU. She has published several papers on the effectiveness of this and recently ran a government funded study of CBT for DPAFU in the NHS.

Dawn Baker is a consultant clinical psychologist working in the voluntary sector and trained therapist in CBT. She has worked at the Depersonalisation Research Unit at the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College London, developing a psychological model of depersonalisation disorder as well as treatment and management strategies and has published a number of papers in those areas.

Emma Cernis is a clinical psychologist and researcher. She completed her clinical training at the University of Oxford, where she also began her research into dissociative experiences funded by a Wellcome Trust Clinical Doctoral Fellowship. She is now Assistant Professor of Clinical Psychology at the University of Birmingham and runs the Midlands Dissociation & Depersonalisation Centre, a specialist private practice.

Anthony David is Professor of Mental Health at University College London, and honorary consultant psychiatrist at the National Hospital for Neurology, Queen Square. He was previously a consultant psychiatrist at the South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. In 1998 he set up the first clinic for depersonalisation disorder in the UK (the Depersonalisation Research Unit) at the Maudsley.
