L.I. WILSON is the pen name of L.I. Wilson and D.S. Sullivan L.I. WILSON is a GRADE 7 student Toronto, Canada who is an avid reader and writer with a keen interest in Irish Culture and Mythology.D.S. SULLIVAN (1954) was born in the South of Ireland and is the youngest of nine children. Growing up in a large Irish family, she developed a lifelong love of storytelling, folklore, and the rich traditions of Ireland. Educated by the nuns of the Presentation Order, she went on to attend Teacher Education in 1969.Her teaching career began in a small two-teacher school in a village by the sea, where she discovered a passion for helping children develop a love of reading and learning.In 1974, D.S. immigrated to Canada and continued her education. She attended York University in Toronto, Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario, the University of Toronto, and Simon Fraser University in Vancouver, B.C.Over the following decades, D.S. worked as a classroom teacher, Special Education teacher, Literacy Coach, Teacher-Librarian, and later with the Toronto District School Board's Education and Community Partnership Programs (formerly known as Section 23), supporting children and young people facing significant social and educational challenges.Now retired, D.S. enjoys bringing stories inspired by Ireland's myths, legends, and folklore and history to a new generation. Drawing on her years as an educator, she creates engaging books with clear, accessible language designed to inspire a lifelong love of reading in young readers.D.S. Sullivan lives in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
