After a raccoon shows up on the porch and calmly helps itself to the outdoor cat food, Chong becomes convinced the Whisker Hostel is under surveillance.
A folding chair incident does not help.
Soon Chong is checking windows, monitoring household appliances, questioning everyone's security procedures, and insisting the raccoon is part of something much larger. Luna calls an intervention. Bubba makes signs. Spooky prepares for tactical support. Cheech tries to help without getting dragged into the investigation. And eventually Mark brings in Rhonda, the one person professionally qualified to explain that the washing machine is probably not working with organized raccoons.
Therapy goes about as well as expected.
Between suspicious furniture, questionable nunchuck decisions, catnip, security plans, and three therapy appointments a week, Chong slowly starts doing something he insists therapy had absolutely nothing to do with: feeling safer.
Funny, chaotic, and unexpectedly warm, The Whisker Hostel: Chong Goes to Therapy is a story about fear, friendship, faith, and a black cat who would like the record to show that the chair still knows what it did.
