Zusammenfassung

Digital twins, also known as virtual replicas that simulate real-world entities, have evolved from industrial applications to healthcare, where they enable personalized treatment planning, outcome prediction, and therapeutic optimization. This technology addresses critical healthcare challenges from aging populations, chronic disease management, and resource limitations by providing clinicians with powerful decision-making tools for more precise, effective, and efficient care delivery.

Digital Twins in Healthcare: Personalized Modeling for Treatment Optimization addresses a critical need in modern medicine. This timely volume explores how virtual patient replicas, powered by AI, big data, and computational modeling, can transform healthcare delivery through personalized treatment simulation and outcome prediction. Bridging theory with practice, the book guides diverse stakeholders through technical foundations, clinical applications, and ethical considerations of digital twin technologies. From clinicians seeking practice enhancements to developers creating next-generation systems, this multidisciplinary resource provides essential insights for navigating healthcare's digital frontier.

This book serves healthcare professionals implementing personalized medicine, technology specialists developing computational healthcare models, and researchers across medicine and computer science exploring digital twin applications.
